Sciences & Impact Initiative of the French Embassy in Indonesia has enthusiastically supported a feasibility study to identify the future opportunity of bilateral cooperation between France and Indonesia in the domain of water & environmental engineering. The ultimate goal is the elaboration of a dual degree program between the Higher Education Institutions from France and Indonesia.
A French Research operator in Indonesia; The French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD) and Towards Sustainable Businesses (TSB) have successfully conducted a feasibility study to identify opportunities and potential challenges related to the Higher Education system, particularly on the water & environmental engineering program.
The study revealed high interest among key national education stakeholders to build the capacity of the environmental engineers and improve more real field and working experience for the bachelor students. The focus on developing the capacity of the bachelor students in Indonesia will also contribute tremendously to their interest to pursue a Master degree in France, enhancing the cooperation between France and Indonesia in water and environmental sciences education.
